Trackhouse Racing revealed on Tuesday that Daniel Suarez will not continue as the driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet in 2026. Suarez expressed his positive attitude towards the change, emphasizing that it’s a new chapter and not a sad moment. The decision was not abrupt for Suarez, as he had been aware of it for a while. He expressed relief that the news is finally official and is looking forward to future plans and opportunities.
Throughout his time with Trackhouse, Suarez shared his gratitude for the organization and the relationships he built there, stating that it’s simply a change and expressing his affection towards the team. Suarez, who achieved his first NASCAR Cup Series victory with Trackhouse, is now set to part ways with the team, with expectations that Connor Zilisch might be his replacement. Zilisch has shown immense talent and could potentially fill Suarez’s role at Trackhouse as the team looks towards the future.
